Reverse description Central square perforation flanked by two Manchu script characters, one on each side, reading vertically in the traditional Manchu manner: 'Boo' to the right and 'He' to the left, together denoting the mint name Boo-he (Board of Revenue, Henan). A crescent mark appears at various positions around the central hole depending on the variety, serving as a mint control mark. The field is plain, and the design is typical of late Qing cast cash coinage.
