| Reverse description | Cast reverse displaying a central square perforation flanked by two vertical Manchu script characters, one on each side of the hole, reading right to left as 'Boo Dung' (寶東), identifying the issuing mint. The Manchu glyphs are rendered in the standard vertical orientation typical of Qing dynasty cash coinage, set within plain inner and outer rims. The field is otherwise bare, consistent with the austere aesthetic of Qing cast cash coinage. |
