| Reverse description | Plain round cast bronze reverse featuring a central square perforation flanked by four Manchu (Jurchen script) characters arranged in cruciform order, reading ᠪᠣᠣ (Boo) to the right and ᠴᡠᠸᠠᠨ (chuwan) to the left, identifying the issuing mint as the Board of Revenue Mint in Beijing. The characters are rendered in relief within a flat field, bounded by a raised inner rim around the square hole and a raised outer border. The surface exhibits heavy green and brown patination. The reverse design follows the standard format of Qing dynasty cash coinage. |
