| Reverse description | A stylized crown depicted in a simplified, archaic manner occupies the central field of the reverse, surrounded by a ring of large raised pellets arranged in a semicircular arc above and around it. The crown sits upon a flat base, and the overall design is boldly but crudely rendered, characteristic of cast lead cash coinage produced for Danish colonial trade use in Tranquebar (Tharangambadi). The irregular flan and rough surface are typical of this issue. |
