Reverse description Central field bearing the abbreviated legend 'DOC' (Dansk Ostindisk Compagni, the Danish East India Company), enclosed within a circular border of dots or pellets. The lettering is primitive and irregularly struck, consistent with the crude production standards of the Tranquebar mint for this low-denomination copper coinage. The flan is rough and uneven, with typical casting porosity on the surface.
