| Obverse description | Cast bronze cash coin bearing the four-character reign legend 大中通寶 (Da Zhong Tong Bao) arranged in the traditional cross-reading format around a central square perforation: 大 (Da) at top, 寶 (Bao) at bottom, 通 (Tong) at right, and 中 (Zhong) at left. The characters are rendered in regular script (kaishu) with bold, well-defined strokes typical of mid-14th century Chinese cast coinage. The inner and outer rims are raised and clearly defined, framing the legend field. The flat fields between the characters show typical casting texture consistent with workshop production of the late Yuan-transitional period. |

| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a single Chinese character 豫 (Yu) positioned below the central square perforation, identifying the Henan provincial mint. The character is rendered in regular script with clear, bold strokes. The raised inner and outer rims are well-defined, and the remaining field above and to the sides of the square hole is blank, consistent with standard single-character mint-mark issues of this series. |
