| 裏面の説明 | Central square perforation surrounded by a raised square border, with the field between the inner border and the outer rim left largely plain. A single Chinese ideogram in Regular script (Kaishu) is placed below the central square hole, reading 二 (Er, meaning 'Two'), denoting the second year of the Baoqing reign period (1226). The reverse is otherwise unadorned, consistent with standard Southern Song dynasty cast cash coinage practice for year-denominated issues. |

Issued during the reign of Emperor Lizong of the Southern Song dynasty, this cash piece falls within the Baoqing era (1225–1227). The Baoqing period was politically turbulent from the outset — Lizong's accession was itself engineered by the powerful minister Shi Miyuan, who suppressed a rival claimant before the young emperor had any real grip on power. The "with year" designation refers to the inclusion of a reign-year numeral in the inscription, a practice that allows precise dating within the three-year period.
