Obverse description Central square perforation surrounded by four Chinese characters in seal script (tritriện), arranged in the traditional cross pattern and read top to bottom, right to left. The four-character reign legend 大治通寶 (Đại Trị Thông Bảo) fills the four quadrants of the field around the central hole. Characters are rendered in bold, archaic seal script style with prominent raised relief against a flat field. A raised inner rim borders the central square hole, and a broader raised outer rim defines the coin's periphery.

Reverse description Plain reverse featuring a central square perforation bordered by a raised inner rim, with a flat, unadorned field extending to the raised outer rim. The surface shows no inscriptions, decorative elements, or symbols, conforming to the uniface cast cash coin tradition of the Trần dynasty. Natural patination consistent with aged copper alloy is visible across the field.
