Obverse description Cast brass cash coin of the northern type, featuring the four-character reign legend 崇禎通寶 (Chongzhen Tongbao) arranged in the conventional top-bottom-right-left reading order around a central square perforation. The characters are rendered in regular script (kaishu) with bold, well-defined strokes typical of late Ming imperial coinage. The field is flat and unadorned, bounded by an inner square rim surrounding the perforation and a raised outer rim encircling the coin's periphery. The surface displays an aged patina with green-grey corrosion consistent with burial or extended circulation.
