| Reverse description | Plain reverse field with a central square perforation enclosed by a raised square inner rim and a raised outer rim. The single character 戶 (Hu), denoting the Ministry of Revenue mint, is cast in bold regular script above the square hole. The remaining three quadrants of the reverse are blank, which is characteristic of the northern-type Chongzhen cash issues. The surface shows typical casting texture with areas of green patination over a warm brown brass substrate. |
