| 表面の説明 | Cast copper cash coin with a central square perforation flanked by four Chinese characters in regular script (kaishu), arranged in cruciform fashion around the void. The legend reads 昭統通寶 (Chiêu Thống Thông Bảo), with 昭 (Chiêu) at the top, 統 (Thống) at the bottom, 通 (Thông) to the right, and 寶 (Bảo) to the left. The characters are rendered in raised relief against a flat, unadorned field. The coin is bordered by a plain raised inner rim surrounding the square hole and a plain outer rim. The surface shows typical patination consistent with cast Vietnamese cash coinage of the late Lê dynasty period. |
