| Obverse description | Cast copper cash coin featuring a central square hole flanked by four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion within the inner field. Reading clockwise from the top, the legend 景興順寶 (Cảnh Hưng Thuận Bảo) is arranged in the four cardinal positions around the central perforation, following the standard Vietnamese cash coin convention of top-bottom-right-left reading order. The characters are rendered in regular script (kaishu) and appear in moderate relief against a flat, unadorned field. The inner rim is defined by a raised square border surrounding the central perforation, while the outer rim forms a plain raised ring encircling the entire design. A small dot, the variety-defining feature of this emission, is present in the field. |
