| Additional information |
Cảnh Hưng was the reign title of Lê Hiển Tông, whose 46-year reign was the longest of the Later Lê dynasty — yet effective power throughout rested almost entirely with the Trịnh lords, who had reduced the emperor to a ceremonial figure generations earlier. The coinage issued under this title spans nearly half a century and reflects the fiscal demands of a state perpetually destabilized by the Trịnh-Nguyễn civil conflict. Toda's catalog distinguishes multiple varieties within this reign series, with #82 designating the "Đại" marked type, a size or furnace designation used to differentiate production batches at the casting house level.
