| Aanvullende informatie |
Bảo Thái was the reign era of Emperor Dụ Tông of the Lê dynasty — though by this period the Lê emperors held almost no real authority, with the Trịnh lords controlling the north as de facto rulers. The cash coinage issued under Bảo Thái was functionally the Trịnh administration's monetary output, the reign name serving a legitimizing fiction more than reflecting any imperial agency.
The crescent and dot reverse marks on Barker 67.5 distinguish it from the plain reverse type, likely indicating a specific supervising mint or casting batch rather than a denomination difference.
