| 正面描述 | Cast bronze cash coin featuring a central square perforation surrounded by a plain raised inner rim. The four characters of the legend are arranged in cruciform fashion around the central hole, read clockwise from the top in the traditional top-bottom, right-left sequence: 開 (Kai), 元 (Yuan), 通 (Tong), 寶 (Bao). The characters are rendered in clerical script (lishu) in low relief against a flat, unornamented field. A raised outer rim encircles the entire obverse. |
