Reverse description Plain flat field centred on a square perforation, with a raised inner rim and plain outer rim. A single Chinese character 洪 (Hong), rendered in regular script (kaishu), is positioned above the central square hole, serving as a mint mark identifying the Hongzhou mint (modern-day Nanchang, Jiangxi province). The character is cast in raised relief and is notably smaller than the obverse legends. The reverse surface shows heavy patination with blue-green corrosion deposits consistent with burial or prolonged circulation.
