Reverse description Elaborately ornamented coat of arms of Brandenburg-Ansbach, featuring a crowned eagle displayed at the center of a quartered shield, supported by decorative baroque cartouche work and foliate mantling. A princely crown surmounted by a cross tops the shield. The date 1735 appears in the lower exergue between ornamental stops. The circular Latin legend SALVS PVBLICA SALVS MEA encircles the design, expressing the motto 'The public welfare is my welfare,' a hallmark of enlightened absolutist German rulers of the period.
