Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Duke Charles Alexander of Württemberg, wearing elaborate armour with decorative gorget and mantle, his long curling wig rendered in fine relief. The effigy occupies the majority of the field and displays high-relief workmanship characteristic of South German baroque coinage. The circular Latin legend reads CAROL. ALEXANDER D.G. DUX WURT. ET TECK. distributed around the periphery. The mintmaster initial M appears in the lower left field. The coin is struck within a milled border.
