Obverse description Bare-headed, draped bust of Elector Charles Albert facing right, wearing a voluminous curled periwig rendered in fine baroque detail. A small six-pointed star mint mark appears below the truncation in the lower field. The circumferential Latin legend, reading the Elector's titles and abbreviated dignities, is divided by the bust and runs continuously around the coin periphery.

Reverse description Enthroned figure of the crowned Madonna with nimbus, facing front, holding the Christ Child on her left knee; the Child holds a sceptre and orb. Below the Madonna, a large elaborate crowned oval coat of arms of Bavaria, surrounded by the collar of the Order of the Golden Fleece, rests in the lower field. The date 1727 appears in the exergue, and the Latin motto legend encircles the design.
