Aanvullende informatie

Carlo VI — Habsburg Holy Roman Emperor and, as claimant under his Spanish title, King of Naples — struck this issue during a period when his hold on the Italian south was still being consolidated following the War of the Spanish Succession. The Treaty of Utrecht in 1713 had assigned Naples to Austria, but the administrative and monetary machinery of the kingdom took years to fully realign with Vienna's authority. This carlino belongs to that transitional window.
