Reverse description The reverse repeats the obverse design in its entirety, a feature consistent with this coin's classification as a mule, wherein the same die was employed for both faces. Two simplified stylized dragons flank a central inscription of two Chinese characters reading 一分 (1 Candareen), symmetrically arranged within the field. The dragons are rendered in a bold, schematic manner characteristic of late Qing provincial pattern coinage. The duplication of the obverse design on the reverse confirms the experimental or trial nature of this piece.
