| Description de l’avers | Oval silver flan of hammered bean (mameitagin) form with a deeply impressed countermark applied in the field. The countermark depicts the uchide-no-kozuchi, the legendary magic mallet of Japanese mythology, rendered in relief above the two-character era inscription 文久 (Bunkyū) stamped vertically in bold kanji. The overall surface is irregular and convex, consistent with hand-struck production, with the countermark devices showing strong relief against the roughly textured field. |

| Description du revers | Oval reverse field bearing a prominent hammered countermark consisting of three bold kanji characters arranged vertically: 仙 (Sen), 銀 (Gin, silver), and 山 (Zan/San, mountain), reading together as 仙銀山 (Senginzan, 'Sendai Silver Mountain'), certifying the domain origin and silver content of the piece. The characters are deeply struck in high relief with well-defined strokes, occupying the majority of the convex flan surface. The surrounding field is plain and smoothly worn, typical of circulated hammered coinage of the late Edo period. |
