(Translation: One Bu)
Reverse description Oval gold flan with a uniformly hammered field. The reverse bears two Japanese characters inscribed vertically in bold, flowing cursive script reading '筑前' (Chikuzen), identifying the issuing domain of Fukuoka in northern Kyushu. The brushstroke-style calligraphy is deeply impressed into the gold surface, consistent with the hand-struck technique employed for domain-issued gold currency of the late Edo and early Meiji periods. The remainder of the field is plain, emphasizing the authority inscription.
