Reverse description A large heraldic eagle with wings displayed and head sinister occupies the central field, standing upon a rocky exergual base. The mintmaster initials C and T are placed in the mid-field flanking the eagle to left and right respectively. The circular legend MONEDA EMITIDA EN LA PAZ arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination UN BOLIVIANO and the date 1868 are inscribed in two lines along the lower arc. The design is contained within a finely milled border.
