| Opis awersu | Printed in olive-brown intaglio on a light ground, the obverse centres on an oval portrait vignette of Simón Bolívar in military uniform, set against a finely engraved guilloche background. Denomination numerals "1" appear in lozenge-shaped guilloche panels flanking the portrait to left and right, with four additional numeral counters at the corners. The serial number is printed in red at lower left, the series letter in red at right, and two manuscript signatures appear at the foot — one below the title "Contador" and one below "Superintendente de Bancos" / "Gerente General" — with the imprint "AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY" at the very bottom margin. |
