| 背面描述 | Draped bust of Simón Bolívar facing left, occupying the central brass-plated steel ring. The engraver's name 'BARRE' appears at the base of the portrait, with the mint mark of the Casa de Moneda de Venezuela (Maracay) positioned to the right. A horizontal wave pattern fills the background field. The legend 'BOLÍVAR LIBERTADOR' curves along the outer ring. |

Venezuela's 2012 bimetallic bolívar series was issued as part of the Bolívar Fuerte currency family, itself introduced in 2008 when the government redenominated at 1,000:1 to strip zeros accumulated during years of chronic inflation. The magnetic steel construction was a cost-reduction measure adopted across multiple denominations as the country's fiscal position deteriorated under falling oil revenues and bolivar depreciation — the same pressures that would eventually render the entire Bolívar Fuerte series obsolete by 2018, when redenomination was repeated.
