Obverse description Standing figure of St. Peter facing, head turned to the left, holding a key in his right hand; the heraldic shield of the Archbishopric of Cologne appears to the left of the figure and the shield of the Palatinate to the right. The composition is rendered in a Gothic style characteristic of late 15th-century Rhenish coinage, with a beaded inner circle framing the central devices. A Latin legend runs along the outer periphery of the coin.
