Obverse description Head of a Gaul facing right, depicted wearing a torc around the neck, rendered in a bold, archaic Celtic-influenced style characteristic of early Roman colonial bronze coinage. The facial features are summarily modeled in high relief, with the torc serving as the principal identifying attribute of the Gallic subject. The flan is irregular and slightly convex, consistent with the cast production technique employed at Ariminum during this period.
