| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse of the host coin bears a circular legend reading PHILIP·V·D·G·HISPAN·ET·IND·REX around the full periphery, identifying Philip V as King of Spain and the Indies. The central field, surrounding the heart-shaped perforation, retains partial armorial shield devices typical of Spanish colonial coinage of the period. Mint marks M and F are visible in the lower left quadrant, identifying the Mexico City Mint. The overall fabric is consistent with a milled Spanish real that was subsequently perforated for use as a Martinique bit. |
