Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Albert I of Belgium occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with fine portrait detail typical of Devreese's medallic style. The circumferential legend in Dutch reads '·ALBERT·KONING· ·DER·BELGEN·', positioned along the upper and lower periphery. The engraver's signature 'G.DEVREESE' appears in small characters at the base of the truncation. The portrait presents the king in civilian dress without a crown or military insignia, consistent with the constitutional monarch's civic image.
