Bar scrip from small-town Wisconsin tap rooms is genuinely uncommon in organized collections, and Cadott — a village of under 1,500 in Chippewa County — leaves almost no paper trail in the numismatic literature. This token note was almost certainly printed locally for in-house promotional use, the kind of thing handed out during events, given as change for overpayment on a tab, or distributed as free-drink coupons to regulars. Few would have been saved deliberately.
