Reverse description Within a beaded border, an armillary sphere is depicted centrally, rendered as a stylized wheel-like device with intersecting bands or rings radiating from a central point, consistent with the simplified armillary sphere motif used on Portuguese colonial coinage of this period. The design is struck in low relief on an irregular flan typical of hammered copper bazarucos issued at Goa. The field surrounding the device is plain.
