| Obverse description | Within a beaded border, the crowned Portuguese royal coat of arms is depicted centrally, showing the characteristic quinas (five escutcheons) arranged in a cross pattern. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown rendered in low relief. Mint letters 'G' and 'A' flank the arms to the left and right respectively, identifying the Goa mint. The strike is characteristic of hammered colonial coinage, with slightly irregular flan edges. |

| Reverse description | Within a beaded border, an armillary sphere is depicted centrally, rendered as a stylized wheel-like device with intersecting bands or rings radiating from a central point, consistent with the simplified armillary sphere motif used on Portuguese colonial coinage of this period. The design is struck in low relief on an irregular flan typical of hammered copper bazarucos issued at Goa. The field surrounding the device is plain. |
