Reverse description The reverse displays a complex cross design composed of intersecting diagonal and straight lines forming a multi-armed geometric pattern, characteristic of Portuguese colonial bazaruco coinage. The cross motif fills the entire field and appears to incorporate a quartered or segmented arrangement. The surface is notably flat and irregular, consistent with hammered production on a roughly prepared copper flan. A beaded or toothed border encircles the design, though it is partially incomplete due to the irregular shape of the planchet.
