Obverse description Central field displays the crowned arms of Portugal, depicted as a shield bearing the Portuguese royal escutcheon with the characteristic five bezants arranged in a cross pattern, surmounted by a royal crown. The letters I and B flank the shield to the left and right respectively, serving as mint and denomination initials. The design is rendered in low relief consistent with hammered coinage production. The entire motif is contained within an irregular circular border typical of Portuguese colonial copper coinage of this period.

Reverse description The reverse displays a complex cross design composed of intersecting diagonal and straight lines forming a multi-armed geometric pattern, characteristic of Portuguese colonial bazaruco coinage. The cross motif fills the entire field and appears to incorporate a quartered or segmented arrangement. The surface is notably flat and irregular, consistent with hammered production on a roughly prepared copper flan. A beaded or toothed border encircles the design, though it is partially incomplete due to the irregular shape of the planchet.
