| 背面描述 | Central shield bearing the arms of Leuchtenberg, featuring a horizontal bar, set within a raised inner circle. The date appears above the shield within the inner field. The surrounding legend is distributed around the outer rim, separated by decorative stops, invoking a devotional motto in Latin. The overall composition is austere and typical of hammered silver coinage of the Landgraviate in the early sixteenth century. |

The Landgraviate of Leuchtenberg was among the smallest and most financially precarious of the Bavarian-adjacent territories, and its coinage output was correspondingly sparse. This Batzen issue under Georg III falls within the early 1530s, a moment when the fragmentation of imperial coinage standards across the Holy Roman Empire was acute — the 1524 Reichsmünzordnung had attempted to impose uniformity, but minor lordships routinely issued to their own specifications regardless.
Leuchtenberg's minting rights were exercised only intermittently, which explains why Schulten lists this type as a single catalog entry covering two years of production.
