| Obverse description | Quartered shield of arms surmounted by a princely crown occupies the central field. The four quarters display the heraldic charges of the Bishopric of Basel and the Roggenbach family. A circular legend in Latin surrounds the arms, reading from the base upward on both sides. The coin exhibits a fine milled border and a well-struck, slightly convex relief consistent with late 18th-century Swiss ecclesiastical coinage. |
