Obverse description Central field occupied by the crowned arms of Solothurn — a vertically striped shield surmounted by a ornate baroque crown — flanked by the mint-master initials S and O, all enclosed within a beaded inner circle. The circular legend reads CANTON SOLOTHURN with the date 1826 distributed around the shield. The denomination 1·BATZ· appears in the exergue below a horizontal line, separated from the central device by the beaded border.

Reverse description A broad Greek cross, with each arm displaying a rectangular panel decorated with trefoil ornaments, is set within a quatrefoil (quatre-lobe) frame whose concave lobes curve between the cross arms. At the centre of the cross, a wreath surrounds the letter C — the initial of the Helvetic Concordat. The surrounding circular legend, separated from the design by a beaded border, reads DIE CONCORDIER · CANTONE DER SCHWEIZ, referencing the concordat cantons of Switzerland.
