Reverse description The central field displays the denomination in two lines — 'I' above 'BATZEN' — separated from the date '1799' below by a horizontal rule. This central inscription is enclosed within a raised inner circle, around which is arranged a decorative border of alternating olive or laurel leaves and six-pointed asterisks disposed in a regular pattern. The outermost rim features a finely milled or grained edge, enhancing the coin's security and aesthetic finish. The overall composition is clean and typographic, characteristic of Helvetic Republic coinage of the late 18th century.
