| Reverse description | Central field features a prominent raised central pellet or boss set within multiple concentric circular grooves, creating a target-like or bullseye design. A ring of raised pellets or granules surrounds the central boss, enclosed within the innermost concentric circle. The intermediate fields between the concentric rings display scattered surface granulation consistent with the coarse hammered technique applied to the tin-lead calin alloy. The outer border displays a characteristic beaded or rope-pattern rim. Heavy patination and corrosion obscure finer details, which is typical of surviving specimens of this Portuguese India calin issue. |
