The legend REPVBLICA DE PANAMA arcs above along the rim, with the purity LEY 0.900 and weight GR 26.73 inscribed vertically to the right of the figure. The national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO appears in the lower field, with the date in the exergue.
