| Beschrijving keerzijde | The denomination inscribed in three lines as VN / BAIOCCO / ROM, denoting the value of one baiocco struck at Rome, all contained within a wreath of small laurel or olive leaves tied at the base. The wreath sprigs are rendered with fine detail, and the legend fills the central field in an upright, evenly spaced arrangement. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Benedict XIV, elected in 1740 after a conclave that dragged on for six months, proved one of the more intellectually serious popes of the 18th century — a trained canon lawyer who corresponded with Voltaire and overhauled the Church's approach to missionary rites. His long pontificate gave the Roman mint ample time to refine working dies, and the small-leaf wreath variant of this baiocco is understood to represent a later die revision within the series, distinguishable from the larger-leaf emission by the tighter foliate spacing around the inscription.
