Reverse description The reverse presents the denomination inscription VN BAIOCCO ROMANO arranged in four lines within an elaborate baroque cartouche of scrolling foliate ornament. The date 1752 appears on the fourth line, flanked by small decorative floral stops. Above and below the cartouche, additional scrollwork and a shell or floral device complete the composition. The legend is rendered in bold, well-spaced lettering typical of Roman papal mint production of the period. A fine denticulated border surrounds the entire reverse design.
