Obverse description Left-facing effigy of King Chulalongkorn (Rama V) in military dress uniform, with decorations visible on the chest. The portrait is rendered in high relief in a neoclassical medallic style consistent with the work of engraver Henri-Auguste Patey. Thai legend to the left of the effigy reads 'จุฬาลงกรณ์' and to the right 'สยามินทร์', with the engraver's signature 'A.PATEY' appearing in the right field.
