Reverse description A white elephant standing in profile to the right, depicted within a circular central medallion surrounded by an elaborate swirling foliate and flame-like design radiating outward from the central device, interspersed with small five-pointed stars. The decorative surround is executed in a dynamic, pinwheel arrangement of stylised foliage typical of Siamese coinage of the Rama V era. The reverse field is fully occupied by this ornamental pattern, and the entire design is enclosed within a reeded border. The elephant, sacred symbol of the Siamese kingdom, is rendered in fine relief standing on a ground line.
