Obverse description Left-facing draped bust of King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX), depicted wearing spectacles and traditional royal Thai attire with an ornately embroidered collar. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the hair and garment. A Thai script legend arcs to the left of the portrait giving the king's name, while his reign number appears in Thai numerals to the right. The field is smooth and unadorned, allowing the portrait to dominate the design.
