Reverse description The Royal Siamese Crown (Phra Maha Phichai Mongkut) depicted centrally, flanked on either side by the Royal Umbrellas (chattras), symbols of royal authority, set against a background of floral tree branches. The composition reflects the formal royal cypher and regalia of King Rama IV (Mongkut), rendered in a detailed relief style characteristic of mid-nineteenth century Siamese pattern coinage. The design is contained within a beaded border.
