| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a bold naskh-script Arabic legend reading 'al-Sultan Shahrokh' arranged in two lines within a scalloped circular border. The inscription is rendered in high relief, characteristic of Afsharid hammered gold coinage, with the letterforms exhibiting the fluid, cursive quality typical of mid-18th-century Iranian die-cutting.
