Obverse description Facing lion's head rendered in high relief with bold, archaic style, the jaws open and clasping a dagger oriented point-left. The mane is depicted with stylized radiating ridges framing the face, and the eyes are prominent and deeply set. The flan is irregular and heavily patinated with green corrosion typical of cast aes grave coinage.
