Obverse description A six-spoked wheel occupies the central field, its hub and radiating spokes rendered in bold relief characteristic of Etruscan aes grave casting. The wheel motif, a recurring symbol in Etruscan coinage, is depicted with a clearly defined rim encircling the spokes. A double concentric raised border frames the entire design, consistent with the artistic conventions of central Italian cast bronze coinage of the third century BC.
